You are never fully dressed without a Smile

I was catering a small wedding party the other day when the mother of the bride walked into the kitchen and started to take out her dentures. I had had a long day and my stomach wasn't feeling the greatest. Well she walked up to the sink and started cleaning the dentures! I enjoy a beautiful smile just like everyone else but please don't take out your teeth! I had to run out of the kitchen and just managed to get out the door before vomiting behind a tree!! That got me started on finding natural beauty tips which I will be posting once a week on this blog. I thought I would start with natural way to brighten your smile. I remember as a child using charcoal to brighten my teeth I would just take a piece out of the fire pit and rub it all over my teeth, rinse and be done. Charcoal is a two pronged natural ingredient as it is very absorbent but can not be absorbed by the body. It absorbs toxins and goes out the large intestine. While in your mouth it is not hard on your enamel but it does absorb the bacteria that cause cavities gingivitis and bad breath. I still sometimes use just a piece of regular charcoal if I know it was just plain wood in the fire place, this is just quick and easy and does not stain. You just rub it along your teeth and use dental floss to get it in between your teeth, rinse and be done. Medical establishments use what is called activated charcoal, which is a powder. This powder stains almost anything it touches so be careful but it will not stain your teeth. To use the activated charcoal use a toothbrush and brush as usual. If you are worried about the mess you can also try the baking soda method. Baking soda is hard on your enamel so it is suggested that you only do this once a month. Brush and rinse as usual. Rub baking soda between your top teeth. Use the dental floss to create a mini sander between your teeth - be sure to get into the gum line a bit. Rub the baking soda on the flats of your teeth. Do the same on the bottom. Brush your teeth and rinse again. A smile is the only accessory that goes with any outfit and never goes out of fashion!! Keep smiling
